in the mail ... yesterday!

Chester's mama, Andrea, is sick ... she has leukemia.

Underdog Supplies is selling these orange bow ties

to raise money for Chester's mama's expenses.

The goal is to sell 1000 orange bow ties.

Whitney's Gotcha Day ...

This was me ...

TWO YEARS AGO!

 

I was found roaming the streets.

I spent 5 days locked up in the dog pound.

And another 8 days at the County Shelter.

 

Then mom and dad showed up!

As soon as they saw me they asked what would

it take for me to go home with them that day.

 

Dad played with me while mama wrote out the check

and the next thing I knew ... they took me home!

 

Everyone checked me out and gave their approval

so I'm here to stay!

 

Wanna know the "funny" part?!?

The pawrents thought their family was complete ...

This is me ... this morning

Can you tell I'm still sleepy ...

 

It was 93 degrees today and now it's storming

so I guess I'm lucky that we (Mom, Dad & I)

celebrated my special day on August 16th.

We went to

 Kentuckiana Pug Rescue's 500 Festival of Pugs

 

I had a lot of fun but I didn't do very well in the contests ...

Costume Contest

(didn't place)

 

 Pug Races

(didn't place)

 

 Watermelon Eating Contest

(didn't place)

BUT LET ME EXPLAIN ...

I love watermelon but

I stuffed myself with PITK treats

 

Mom and I were also in the kissing

contest but I didn't want to kiss mama.

A cute guy named Hoss was kissing me.

The two of us should have won!

 

Pug/Owner Look Alike Contest

YAY ... we finally won

(but so did everyone else)

 

 We also won one of the raffles

A pee-pad "cake" with tons of toys

some collars and leashes, too,

And a box of Blue Dog Bakery Doggie Paws.

By the end of the day I was exhausted ...



I slept all the way home and most of the next day!

 

 This evening we all got some ice cream to

celebrate my special day ...

And mama shared a cookie with me

(I only got two bites but that's okay!)

 

Dad grilled some pork chops - it's "tradition"

because that is what Mom and Dad

were shopping for when they saw

my picture on the bulletin board

at the grocery store two years ago!

Dad melted some cheese on it

because I love cheese ...

We had some red bell peppers, too!

 

I even got some presents ...

I love GOTCHA DAYS ...

I hope I'm around for at least a couple dozen or more!

Liberty's Big Day ...

Today I turned 4 ....

Mom and Dad still call me their baby girl.

 

Can you believe they are making me wear a dress?

And a silly hat, too ...

 

I also got some treats and a new busy bone

 

THEN came the fun part ...

 

I'll take that ...

 

YUM ...

It was so good!

 

And I got some lunch, too ...

 

I like roast beef and cheese

And an oatmeal cookie, too!

(Don't worry ... Dad ate the raisins!)

 

Mama loves me ...

 

Hey ... I thought this was supposed to be a fun day

not a picture day!

 

Aren't we done with this???

 

Let's go for a walk instead ...

 

When Dad walks with me I go back and forth

right, then left, then right again!

 

When mama walks with me ... I stay on the left side.

I'm just a fun girl ... I like variety!  BOL

 

I'm ready for bed now ... it was an exhausting day!
