Our FIRST camping trip ... and hopefully our last!

Mama told us we were going camping ...
We have never been but she promised it would be fun.

Dad drove us there

Here is Zoe with Mama

Peyton kept Liberty safe ...
this is her first trip

And Webster ... isn't he adorable!

To get to our grandpawrents we had to ...

go over the river
The Wabash River

and through the woods
Greene/Sullivan Counties Forest Preserve

We finally made it ...

Here we are with Dad
Zoe, Liberty, Webster and Peyton

And here we are with Mom
Zoe, Peyton, Webster and Liberty

Meet our grandpawrents ...
Billl & Ruth Cunningham
They are mama's mom and step-dad

Here is our grandpawrents' camper

This is where we slept ...

Grandpaw made a fire ...

Dad cooked us some hotdogs ...

They were yummy ...

We took some long walks
Here is the whole family.
(Some of us weren't paying attention.)

We walked too far ...
Zoe wanted to be carried.
(Her Daddy always gives in.)

We spent a lot of time sitting around the fire
You can't see Zoe next to Dad

Here she is with Peyton

Mama let us taste some smores.
It was good but she only let us have one bite!

The storms moved in and it rained ALL night.
None of us slept very well.
And the next day was horrible ...
there was mud everywhere.

For some reason we kept getting stuck HERE ...

Liberty and Webster

During the storm Mama promised we would never do this again.
But the next day I heard her saying we would be going to a hog roast
in September IF the weather is good. Uh-oh!

  1. Sorry it stormed while you were camping. That doesn't sound like any fun at all. But those hot dogs sure do look tasty!
    Love,

  2. Still looks like lots of fun even though it rained and stormed. How lovely, hot dogs, they would have been gone in seconds if our five had got their paws on them!

  4. hmm. I don't know if Mack and I would survive camping. No sleeping in the big bed? No A/C?

You guys are very brave for sure!

  6. I am so with your mom on that score. Give me a solid roof and four walls, and I am happy.

  7. Our comments from the blackberry aren't showing up! Grrr.
The hotdogs and the smores sound wonderful. Sleeping in a tent, not so much. Maybe next time you can rent a cabin. With AC. Or stay home and eat hotdogs.
It had to be a great adventure though!

  8. Oh, so sorry your first camping trip was not the best weather! Our gang loves going to our camper, but they take over the big bed inside and relax on the sofa with the airconditioning blasting...yep, they have it rough!

  10. Oooh Im so sorry it rained. The hot dogs look good though. Someday, far in the future when Ive paid of some of the mortgage, Id like to get an RV for camping. Then any doggies we have at the time can enjoy camping with AC and soft beds

  13. oh dear! um that is too bad. And this hog roast...... well I just won't go there. Mum is laughing. She says this is why she HATES camping! For the record I never been camping eithers. I dunno, I kinda likes the idea of my own big queen size bed over a tent any day.

  14. I love all your picture and pugs! They are very photogenic! My one pug Kirby is such a character, I can't imagine handling 4! We have just purchased a pop up camper and will be going on our second trip in a few weeks! Kirby really enjoys being with us, but the hot weather is hard for him! Thanks for sharing! PS: where did you get the cute dress up collars? I have been looking for one!
